K Chandrasekhar Rao asks babus to frame realty regulator rules

The RERA Act mandates the setting up of the real estate regulation authority and the appellate tribunal.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government plans to notify the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) rules shortly. According to an official release, minister for municipal administration and urban development K.T. Rama Rao has directed officials to prepare draft rules and submit it to the government for approval.

Stating that protection of buyers’ interest is of utmost importance for the government, the minister reportedly said that the genuine concerns of the real estate sector should also be addressed while framing the rules. The RERA Act mandates the setting up of the real estate regulation authority and the appellate tribunal. For this, the state has to frames its rules.
