Cable bridge will ease traffic flow, says KT Rama Rao
Hyderabad: Work on the cable bridge at Durgam Cheruvu, started on Wednesday, as the Municipal Minister Mr. K. T. Rama Rao laid the foundation stone for the bridge that costs Rs 184 crore. The bridge is much needed to ease traffic congestion in the west corridor.
“As a part of first phase in strategic road development plan, Rs 2,600 crores worth of works are being taken up and are in progress. The bridge crossing Durgam Cheruvu will be completed in a span of 18 months. Directions have also been given to the concerned to complete it on time, said Minister Mr. K. T. Rama Rao.
“Along with the construction of the bridge, beautification around it will also be taken up. Raheja IT Park has taken up the responsibility of weeding out hyacinth at Durgam cheruvu. Another Rs 4 crore will be spent for the construction of an amphitheatre near the lake,” added the Minister.
