Nirmala Sitharaman hits out at ‘forged’ Congress notes

Nirmala Sitharaman was here to launch the poll campaign of former Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman lashed out against the Congress for coming out with fake documents and allegations against the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. She was talking to reporters in Thiruvananthapuram following senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal’s revelation about a video purportedly showing a BJP leader exchanging old notes after demonetisation on a commission of 40 percent.

Nirmala Sitharaman was here to launch the poll campaign of former Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan. She said that the Congress is desperate that almost every day they come with a page of a diary or a so called diary and release something and then start a tirade. She also slammed the CPM leadership in Kerala for their politics of violence.

“The Communists are doing what they are doing elsewhere, here. How can we call it as democracy? The friends of CPM in Kerala should stand up question the ruling party,” added Nirmala Sitharaman.
