Chennai: Seven-year-old class two girl found dead under mysterious circumstances
Coimbatore: A seven-year-old class two girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances near her house at Thudiyaloor in the suburbs of Coimbatore on Tuesday.
Studying in a government school in the same area, the girl returned home from school on Monday evening and left the house to play, but did not return home even after a long time.
Her parents lodged a police complaint.
Meanwhile on Tuesday morning neighbors were shocked to see the girl lying unconscious with wounds all over her body in a narrow path near her house.The girl’s hands and legs were found tied with rope.
The girl’s parents rushed her to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where doctors declared her brought dead. On receiving the information Thadagam police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Parents along with relatives staged a protest in front of the GH and also blocked traffic on Tiruchy road.
The 20-minute road roko came to an end after Race Course police promised a fair probe. Traffic on that stretch was affected for 30 minutes. Police suspect it to be a murder for gain or sexual abuse.
A special team has been formed and further investigations are on.
