Visakhapatnam: The members of Andhra Pradesh State Telugu Film, TV Industry and Associated Industries’ Employees Federation have conducted a rally from its office in Allipuram to Mahatma Gandhi statue opposite GVMC office on Monday. They have demanded that the Central government fulfil its promises given at the time of the 2014 elections including Special Category Status for the state, financial package for Coastal Andhra districts and new railway zone with Vizag as headquarters.
A.M. Prasad, joint secretary of the federation, said that they sincerely oppose the injustice caused to the five crore population of the state by the Centre. He has also requested the members of the association from Hyderabad to support their demands. He further said that the federation would submit a detailed memorandum to the district collector about their demands.
