THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Law minister A.K. Balan told the Assembly on Monday that the government would ensure time bounded completion of projects under the Smart City project for Kochi. Replying on behalf of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for a calling attention motion notice of Hibi Eden, MLA, Mr. Balan said that the so far Rs 396 crore was allotted for various projects and tendering for projects to the tune of Rs 331 crore has been initiated.
He said that the projects were delayed owing to delay in appointing consultancy. The minister also said that the government would ensure coordination between Kochi Corporation and Kochi Smart Mission for the effective implementation on the Smart City projects. The government was also open to fresh proposals like sky-walk, said Mr. Balan.
