Chennai: DAV group of institutions has invited applications for two training programmes Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) for the coming academic year 2019-20.
This full-time intensive programme, spread across 10 months starting June 2019, will train candidates with both practical and theoretical knowledge to effectively handle classes from nursery to higher-secondary education.
“The course is largely inspired by top MBA schools in our country which follow a year-long intensive post graduate programme and allow students from any discipline to enter,” says Vikas Arya, director, DAV Group of Institutions in a press release.
Further, he said the curriculum includes subjects like health and wellness, leadership skills, inclusive education, child psychology apart from the academic subjects.
The applications are available at www.davchennai.org. Apart from teachers, candidates with any bachelor's degree can apply. The fees for PGCE is Rs 80,000 and NIT is Rs 25,000.
