Telangana Eamcet goes online from May 2

Also for first time, the exam would be conducted in Urdu as well and students had to mention this in their application.

Hyderabad: Entrance test for state agriculture and allied courses would be conducted online for the first time from this academic year.

The exam for the Telangana state agriculture and allied courses (TS Eamcet) would be on May 2 and May 3 for agriculture and pharmacy courses and on May 4, 5 and 7 for engineering courses. There would be two sessions, the first from 10 am to 1 pm and the next from 3 pm to 6 pm.

The exams would be conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on behalf of Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) for entry into the first year for undergraduate professional courses.

JNTUH would be releasing TSEamcet notification on February 27 and commencement of submission of online applications forms would begin from March 4.

The last date to applying for the online applications without late fees is April 4 and correction of online application data would be from April 6 to 9.

The last date for submission of online applications with late fees of Rs 500 is April 11 and last date with late fee of Rs 5,000 April 24. The final date of receipt with late fee of Rs 10,000 was April 28.

The university would release hall tickets online from April 20 and candidates could download them up to May 1, 2018. Computer-based online exam would be held at 14 regional centres of Hyderabad West Zone, North Zone, South Zone, East Zone, South East Zone, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Warangal, Tirupati, Vijaywada, Visakhapatnam and Kurnool.

Also for first time, the exam would be conducted in Urdu as well and students had to mention this in their application.

“The Urdu question paper would be purely a translation of that in English and would be provided according to the number of applications received,’’ TSCHE Chairman Papi Reddy said.

CET meeting was held on Monday to finalise the schedule, regional centres/zones for conducting Eamcet through computer-based test and other modalities for its smooth conduct.
