Indian Medical Association flags off bharat yatra against NMC bill

Doctors said NMC would not reduce corruption as it would be governed by non-medical fraternity.

Hyderabad: The Indian Medical Association have begun an agitation against the National Medical Commission(NMC) Bill 2017 by flagging its Bharat Yatra from Hyderabad on Monday morning. IMA members began the march at 8 am and said they were not in favour of the Bill as it would cause more trouble to the medical fraternity rather than making things easy.

Doctors said NMC would not reduce corruption as it would be governed by non-medical fraternity. Doctors from New Delhi were moving across the country to garner support against the Bill which they felt would degrade medical profession.
