Bengaluru: A 28-year-old driver was killed when his drunken friends smashed his head in with a boulder, late on Sunday night in Peenya police station limits.
The deceased is Santosh, a resident of Doddabidara. According to police, Santosh and his friends partied late into the night on Sunday, in Andanappa Layout, Suvarna Nagar. They were all intoxicated when a fight broke out and ended with Santosh’s head being smashed by a boulder. His friends left his body on the side of the road and made their escape.
The incident was brought to light on Monday morning when the public found his body and told police. Peenya police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to help identify the culprits.
