TRS diverting central funds: BJP

The BJP leader said that the country will soon be ridden of corruption.

Karimnagar: The Congress party has lost its vigour and will have to shut shop very soon, predicted BJP national general secretary P. Muralidhar Rao. The welfare schemes introduced by the BJP and its fight against corruption are being supported by the people, he said and exuded confidence of winning the 2019 general elections.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received more support from the people after demonetisation and it is evident from the fact the party won in states where it does not have a strong hold, he said.

The BJP leader said that the country will soon be ridden of corruption and of the Congress too, he said, adding that action plan is being chalked out for the same. He said that the TRS was governing the state just as the Congress did in the earlier years. “Leaders of the pink party are resorting to irregularities and swindling public money wherever there is a chance.”

He alleged that the TRS government was diverting funds being released by the Centre for works which will fetch the leaders kickbacks from the contractors. He said the party has evidence of misuse.
