Hyderabad: Mobile application to locate inter exam centres

To overcome incidents of malpractice, candidates will not be allowed to leave the hall till the completion of the exam at 12 noon.

Hyderabad: Arrangements are in place for the Intermediate Theory examinations from March 1 across Telangana state. Nearly 9.7 lakh students will be appearing for the exams, that will be held on alternate dates for each year. Students will also be able to use an app to locate exam centers. Board of Intermediate Secretary A. Ashok made it clear that no candidate will be allowed into the examination hall after 9am. Candidates can go in from 8am. To overcome incidents of malpractice, candidates will not be allowed to leave the hall till the completion of the exam at 12 noon.

The official also warned of strict punishment to candidates and criminal action against managements if any irregularities occurred. He advised candidates not to bring phones or other gadgets into the examination hall. Even the board officials will not be allowed to carry cell phones with them while on exam duty.

Fifty flying squads and 200 sitting squads comprising intermediate board, revenue and police staff will be making random inspections at examination centres. The board has created a mobile app to locate exam centres for the convenience of candidates writing the exams. Education minister Kadiyam Srihari will be launching the service on Monday.
