Solar panel raps Thampanoor Ravi, asks him to appear on March 15
The commission cited the statement by UDF convener P.P. Thankachan in this regard.
Kochi: The Solar Commission Justice G Sivarajan has expressed displeasure against Congress leader Thampanoor Ravi for his failure to attend the commission despite receiving a notice.
He wondered if Mr. Ravi had decided not to respond to the summons of the commission as the UDF had lost confidence in it. The commission cited the statement by UDF convener P.P. Thankachan in this regard.
The counsel for Mr. Ravi submitted that he was unable to attend the commission due to the ill-health of his wife. The counsel then said that his client would appear before the commission on March 15, which the commission accepted.
Mr. Ravi was summoned by the commission following allegation that he tried to tutor solar scam accused Sarita Nair before her appearance in the commission.
The commission has also decided to serve a notice to the Bar Council of Kerala against the Adv George Poonthottam for making defamatory remarks against the commission.
Sarita had iterated her allegations of paying '20 lakh to to G.R. Ajit general secretary of the Kerala Police Association.
