Warangal district racing ahead in development, says collector Amrapali Kata

Freedom fighters from Warangal were felicitated on the occasion.

WARANGAL: The 69th Republic Day was celebrated with pomp at the Police Parade Ground in Hanamkonda on Friday. District collector Amrapali Kata unfurled the national flag.

Speaking on the occasion, she said Warangal is taking giant leaps up the development path. She listed out the achievements of Warangal Urban district starting from becoming the ODF districts and the several awards that followed. She said all the state and Central government schemes were successfully being implemented in the district.

Later, a cultural programmes performed by several schoolchildren were enjoyed by everyone. The students performed on several patriotic songs. Martial arts and yoga were also presented.

Freedom fighters from Warangal were felicitated on the occasion. The best employees from each of the departments were presented memorandums.

Commissioner of Police G. Sudheer Babu, district principal judge Thirumala Devi, ZP chairperson G. Padma, Mayor N. Narender, GWMC Commissioner Sruthi Ojha, CFO M.J. Akbar and other officials were present.
