Hyderabad: The National Flag was hoisted on Republic Day at the Invest India Pavilion at World Economic Forum summit in Davos on Friday. Union ministers Piyush Goyal and Dharmendra Pradhan and Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh along with Telangana IT minister K.T. Rama Rao were among the dignitaries present at the flag hoisting ceremony.
Mr Rao met business leaders from Ericsson and Dassault Systems, among others. He invited them to Telangana to look at the opportunities for manufacturing and collaboration with T-hub in the innovation space.
Participating in a session with government leaders from many nations on ‘Leveraging Digital to Deliver Value to Society’, Mr Rao spoke on Telangana’s fibre grid project which aims to provide internet connection to every household in the state.
Later in the day, the minister met Tulsi Tanti and Nidhi Tanti of Suzlon Group who expressed interest in setting up a power plant in Telangana. The state delegation also met global heads of various companies, including PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi.
