Telangana govt push for more Eco-parks

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi on Wednesday went on a fact-finding inspection of KBR National Park to see whether it was being maintained in conformity with the norms mandated in the KBR Management Plan.

Mr Joshi checked all the amenities that were being provided in the visitors’ zone and interacted with some of the visitors.

He applauded the concerned for ensuring that the green space that is spread over 1. 42 sq kms is vibrantly intact.

He opined that there was lot of scope in Telangana for establishing an Eco Development Corporation that could monitor and nurture eco-parks across the state and make them on par with KBR Park.

This was crucial because public is getting increasingly conscious of a healthy lifestyle and a good environment.

The officer planted Juvvi (Ficus Resimosa) plant in the crevices of the sheet rock near the watch tower, using the non-conventional drum planting method and said that the plant will thrive even on the sheet rock.
