Hyderabad: Wild animals are always cautious about their surroundings and it is not easy to trap a tigress by misleading her.
“We are hoping for the best. Tigers and other wild animals are cautious. Even before going near water sources, tigers watch the place nearly for half an hour to ensure that there is nothing of suspicious nature. Even though the chances are low, we want to give it a try,” said a wildlife expert.
Officials have tried many procedures to trap K4 but failed to catch her. They hoped that using perfume would give them results but the tigress did not fall in the trap. Pressure is building on the forest department from the last one year, as they are unable to trap the animal to save her by removing the snare that surrounds her waist.
It may be recalled that K4 has avoided more than 100 camera traps that were set to track her movement. Before going for the perfume technique, officials tried to trap her with the help of baits, camera traps and also with trap cages, but in vain.
