Hyderabad: Properties worth Rs 100 crore belonging to the Heera Group chief Nowhera Shaik may be ‘attached’ by Central Crime Station personnel who are probing the case of alleged money circulation by the company.

Police has written to the state government seeking permission to proceed in the case by attaching properties that have been identified at Telangana state, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra and Karnataka, where the group held its activities aggressively and collected money from people towards investments in its subsidiary companies.

The investors were promised 36 per cent profits with the company that claims to have been running gold mining, textile production, and also gold and jewellery sale.

“As Nowhera Shaik and her associates are reluctant to disclose details of the operations held by the companies and also the properties, investigators have sought the help of the Stamps and Registration department of various states. They are estimated to be about Rs 100 crore,” a source said.

These include properties at Banjara Hills and Tolichowki in Hyderabad, Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Pune and Mumbai in Maharashtra and Bengaluru in Karnataka, he said.
