TJAC to oppose private varsities Bill
Hyderabad: The Telangana Joint Action Committee led by its chairman M. Kodandaram on Sunday decided to take up agitations against TRS government, including a public rally in February 2017, against the changes in the educational systems.
The TJAC working committee decided to oppose the proposed Bill to allow private universities, claiming that it would affect lakhs of students from the backward communities.
It also decided to bring out two reports on the performance of Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha by independent experts.
Demanding one-time waiver of farm loans, the TJAC asked the government to issue a policy on agriculture development.
The TJAC will stage a dharna on Thursday against the proposal to amend the 2013 land acquisition Act. It amendment would remove the protections given by the Central Act, it said. Mr Kodandaram cautioned the government against abolishing the zonal system.
