Forest officials lodge complaint against TRS MLA

HYDERABAD: The battle between forest range officers and politicians over giving pattas for Podu lands was taken to the police on Friday with a complaint being lodged against TRS Pinapaka (ST) MLA Rega Kantha Rao.

In a complaint to the Achampet police in Nagarkurnool district, forest range officer J. Prabhakar of Amrabad range in the Amrabad tiger reserve, said the TRS MLA was making provocative comments against the forest staff. The MLAs comments, Prabhakar said in his complaint, “eventually led to the death of Chandrugonda FRO Ch Srinivasa Rao” on Monday.

“These adverse comments have created a volatile atmosphere even in our area of jurisdiction. These comments created a traumatic effect on all the forest staff in Telangana,” Prabhakar said in his complaint, and requested the police to lodge an FIR against the TRS MLA as per law.
