Telangana: Adivasi-Lambada fights draw Human Rights Forum's attention

HRF visits Adivasi and Lambada hamlets in old Adilabad district.

Adilabad: A team of activists from Human Rights Forum (HRF) visited few Adivasi hamlets to study the ongoing conflict between Adivasis and Lambadas in the old Adilabad district on Saturday. HRF activists had interacted with the leaders of Adivasi communities and archived their opinions, demands and documented the problems they have been facing.

The team visited Marlavai village in Jainoor and Keslapur in Indravelli mandals and interacted with villagers where the Adivasis boycotted Lambadas teachers from the tribal ashram schools. HRF team will tour some Lambada hamlets and interact with their community leaders on November 26.

Telangana HRF state committee president E. Madhav Rao, general secretary E. Mohan and vice president Atram Bhujanga Rao, state committee members Anwar and Bakkaiah and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana coordination committee members V.S. Krishnawere present.
