Telangana: 40 2-BHK houses given to poor
Nizamabad: For the first time, prestigious double bed room houses have been inaugurated at Domaledgi in Kotagiri mandal on Saturday. Housing minister A. Indrakaran Reddy and agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy inaugurated 40 2BHK houses in the villages. Prior to this, TRS activists conducted a motorbike rally from Rudrur cross roads to Domaledgi on the occasion. Speaking at the meeting, minister I.K. Reddy and Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said that the government has become a role model for other states in the country. A 2-BHK house available free of cost for the poor is a revolutionary decision and criticised earlier governments for high level corruption in housing schemes.
The ministers said that the ruling TRS government is ready to take up more 2BHK houses for the poor in the state and added that it is unfortunate that people do not own a house seven decades after Independence. Nizamabad in-charge collector A. Ravinder Reddy, Bodhan sub collector Sikta Patnaik and others were present.
