Naxal asks sweepers and peons to take classes in Chhattisgarh schools

Bhopal: A local block education officer in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar division, a Naxal-stronghold, asking sweepers and peons to take classes in the government-run schools in the region in the wake of a flash strike by the “sikshya sahayaks” or education workers has raised many eyebrows.

The Darbha block education officer in Bastar district in his order dated November 23 directed 11 sweepers and peons, class four employees designated as “Bhrutyas” by the Chhattisgarh government, of different schools to teach students till the education workers call off their indefinite strike.
