“Necessary pamphlets or circulars shall be issued by the Chennai corporation to residents of the areas, as has been pointed out by the counsel for the Chennai corporation that there is recent news with regard to the prevalence of dengue in the state on account of the stagnation of water that will lead to breeding of mosquitoes which carry the virus that affects residents”, said Justice S.Vaidyanathan.
The judge gave the directives while disposing of a petition from D.Mayur Kumar, which sought a direction to the Chennai corporation, to remove the debris dumped in front the petitioner's shop on Mint street (near Sowcarpet Apollo Hospital) and further to construct in such a way that the manhole should be constructed at a level equal to the road.
