Hyderabad: A five-year-old girl was constantly being watched by Uday Kumar, a 24-year-old security guard with an intention to molest her while she was playing in Narayanguda on Wednesday.
Kumar was trying to lure her by giving her chocolates.According to the Narayanguda police, the accused and the victim stay in the same locality.
B. Dayakar Reddy, sub-inspector of police, Narayanguda, said, “The accused lured her by saying that he will give her chocolates if she came with him. Believing his words the girl followed him. The accused took her to his home and tried to force himself on her.”
The frightened girl began crying loudly. The accused fearing that the locals might hear the girl screaming, threatened her not to disclose the incident to others and left her alone.
However, the girl informed her mother who then lodged a complaint at the Narayanaguda police station.
Kumar has been booked under PoCSO Act. The police have registered a case on Thursday and sent him to judicial custody.
