Hyderabad: Congress minority leaders on Thursday burnt 12 effigies of Caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandra-sekhar Rao protesting for not fulfilling the promise of giving 12 per cent reservations to the minorities.
Speaking to media persons, minority cell chairman Sk Abdul Sohail said, “Mr Chandrasekhar Rao has cheated the minorities of Telangana state by giving fake promise of providing 12 per cent reservations to minorities. The minorities have voted him to power believing that he would change their lives by giving the 12 per cent quota. Instead, the minority’s dreams have been dashed.
“The same minorities will teach a befitting lesson to Mr Chandrasekhar Rao and his party TRS.”
