Hyderabad: School cleared of rotten fish stink
Hyderabad: Over four hundred students of Zilla Parishad School in Edulabad have got a breather with the panchayat pressing sanitation workers into service to clean the school premises which were stinking with rotten fish for the last few days.
The sanitation staff removed the fish carcasses and hyacinth near the school and later sprinkled bleaching powder near the boundaries and outside.
The Deccan Chronicle carried a report of poor hygienic conditions near the school following the fish kill. Batte Shankar, Edulabad sarpanch, stated that the school administration had written a letter about the fish kill.
Meanwhile, P.Kumar Goud of parents association of boys high school said that they were worried about children’s health.
“The exams are going on from Monday. The students were walking on that road covering their noses. The parents requested teachers to light agarbattis,” he said.
The parent said that kids were complaining about the stink. The locals said hordes of fish were killed due to water pollution this year.
