Fee scheme: Jagan Mohan Reddy promises new life
Anantapur: YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday lashed out at Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his false promises and for ignoring welfare of all sections in the state. Interacting with college students at a function in Kurnool, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy gave his future assurances, if voted to power in the state. A student named Nagendra from Rayalaseema varsity in Kurnool brought to his notice that students were facing many problems due to improper implementation of fee reimbursement scheme in the state.
To this, Mr Jagan recalled that his father Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy had introduced fee reimbursement scheme for poor students so that they could get free education at all technical colleges, “but, the Chief Minister had cancelled the programme. I will introduce the fee reimbursement programme for students with 100 per cent reimbursement”. He called upon youths and students to join hands with him in his fight for special status to get development of the area.
However, Kurnool district-in-charge minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu alleged Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy was trying to misguide students through Yuva Bheri. “Students should not fall into his trap as he had already looted the state during his father’s regime,” he said during a party meeting at Kurnool.
