Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to campaign in the Huzurnagar byelection scheduled on October 21.
Telangana Rashtra Samiti working president and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao said on Wednesday that the party would go to the Huzurnagar byelection with the slogan “Congress win benefits Uttam, TRS win benefits the people”.
He said, “Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will also participate in the election campaign and dates for his meetings in the segment are yet to be decided.”
In an informal chat with media persons at TRS Bhavan here, he said, “We are not considering the Congress and BJP stand that the Huzurnagar byelection is a referendum of TRS rule.” Mr Rama Rao also dismissed remarks of the opposition parties pertaining to the dissatisfaction in the ruling party after the Cabinet expansion.
