Use tech effectively: N Chandrababu Naidu to IAS officers
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday explained the role of technology in overall development while addressing IAS officials at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.
He was addressing the mid-career training programme in which 130 in-service IAS officers belonging to 1983-1990 batches from across the country had participated.
He shared his immense experience in administration and real time governance. Mr Naidu used this opportunity to explain the progressive development of the state post-bifurcation.
Mr Naidu said everyone should develop service-oriented attitude and work hard for the development of the country and added that technology should be used for effective implementation of development programmes. He explained on the real-time governance introduced in the state to solve the grievances of people.
He said the real time governance would help to solve the issues immediately with the help of public response through tollfree number. Several issues raised in media, including social media, would be analysed to improve administration. He said Bill Gates would visit Visakhapatnam in December to discuss on introducing technology in agricultural sector.
Mr Naidu told them despite bifurcation problems, the state has been progressing in all fronts. To come over water crisis, the state government has been giving top priority to complete irrigation projects. He said AP stands first in linking of rivers. By linking Godavari and Krishna rivers, the government is able to protect the crops in Krishna delta.
The Chief Minister told senior IAS officers that priority is being given to solar and wind energy to improve power supply. Steps have been taken to improve road connectivity to all villages. He said the state government has been giving priority for agricultural sector to make AP as agricultural hub. The CM said all the certificates are made available through Mee Seva centres.
He said farmers came forward voluntarily and offered land for the construction of state capital Amaravati. He said a world-class capital would be constructed. The Chief Minister said that the state government has been making efforts to complete Polavaram project as per schedule.
Later, the Chief Minister interacted with the trainee IAS officers. There were also state cadre IAS officers too like Neerab Kumar Prasad, Punam Malakondaiah and few other senior officials in the mid-term career training programme.
