Chennai: As many as 129 passengers were stranded in the domestic airport in Chennai after their flight to Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands had to come back due to bad weather conditions there.
According to airport sources, the Jet Airways flight took off from the City around 12.45 pm with 129 passengers.
However, on nearing the island, the weather conditions prevailing were not conducive for landing, following which the flight was asked to go back to Chennai.
The flight landed in the city around 6 pm. Airlines staff had informed the passengers that their flight has been rescheduled for Tuesday morning, according to airport sources.
