All Cabinet vacancies will be filled next month, says Dinesh Gundu Rao
MANGALURU: KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao said on Saturday that all vacancies in the cabinet would be filled during an expansion likely next month. “All the berths will be filled during the cabinet expansion in September. We will also complete appointments for boards and corporations," he told the media here during a visit to the district to enthuse party workers ahead of elections to urban local bodies (ULBs).
"The elections being held after Assembly polls assumes importance. The Congress is pro development. There might be vilification campaign against us but the Siddaramaiah government had worked for the uplift of all sections of the society. Nobody has pointed at the Congress for lack of development, corruption or scam," he said adding the party would start commence preparations for Lok Sabha elections and a meeting with party leaders would be held in the beginning of September.
“On September 1 and 2 leaders will meet to discuss about all parliament constituencies. Later there will be cabinet expansion after which we will start gearing up for parliament elections," he added. He said the Congress would not only place its achievements before the people but also failures of the BJP led NDA.
