TIRUCHY: The Tiruchirappalli city corporation has established a 50-bed dormitory accommodation at a cost of Rs 50 lakh for the benefit of helpers of inpatients at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government hospital here, according to the municipal corporation commissioner N. Ravichandran.
He said the dormitory accommodation will have 50 beds with two-tier system with mattresses, pillows, beside restrooms with hot water facility and locker facility for keeping the valuables of those who staying there.
The dormitory accommodation is meant for 25 each for men and women helpers and they have to pay Rs 20 per day for occupying this accommodation, he added.
He said the new dormitory will be opened for public use in the month of August.
