Hyderabad: Poorna, the biography of Poorna Malavath, the youngest Indian girl to scale Mount Everest, has been launched by US consul general Ms Katherine Hadda in Hyderabad on Thursday. Poorna Malavath was also present at the launch event.
Poorna climbed the mountain on May 25, 2014 under the leadership of Mr R.S Praveen Kumar, secretary of Telan-gana state Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS).
It may be noted that she was only 13 years and 11 months old when she achieved the feat.
Mr Praveen Kumar was also present at the book launch.
The book has been written by Ms Aparna Thota.
