A Revanth slams TRS for double standards

He said the seven Khammam mandals were not merged with AP when the Congress was in power.

Hyderabad: Congress legislator A. Revanth accused the TRS of adopting dual standards on special status to AP.

He said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and TRS MP K. Kavitha had supported special status to AP earlier, and asked why minister T. Harish Rao was opposing it now.

“The UPA government gave several assurances to AP, which included special status. KCR and TRS Rajya Sabha member K. Keshava Rao were part of the debate. Why did they not object then,” he said.

He said the seven Khammam mandals were not merged with AP when the Congress was in power.

He said TRS MP K. Kavitha extended support to Andhra Pradesh’s special status in Parliament in earlier session while their MP B. Vinod Kumar and minister T.Harish Rao have been opposing it now.

He said a tussle has been going on between KCR's family members for one upmanshi (head person) in TRS and government.
