Visakhapatnam: YSR Congress leader Dadi Veerabhadra Rao has demanded that the state government collects Rs 9 crore from former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the loss incurred because of the demolition of Praja Vedika that was built in violation of rules.
Speaking to mediapersons in Anakapalle on Tuesday, Mr Veerabha-dra Rao said: “It is the responsibility of Mr Chandrababu Naidu who has constructed the building illegally to compensate for the loss. The government should collect compensation beca-use the money spent on the illegal construction was public money. It degrades the stature of Mr Naidu for asking the government to allot the illegal construction to him.”
Mr Rao said the government was coming up with several welfare schemes and corruption-free ruling. “The earlier government was filled with corruption beginning from son to father. This is why the people rejected them.”
