BJP flays M K Stalin on yagam, change of government
Chennai: BJP state president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan took a dig at DMK chief M. K. Stalin’s claim that the government in the State will change even without elections and said the DMK leader’s prediction of change of guard at the Centre had ‘failed’ and the BJP led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to power with majority.
And in the case of the AIADMK in the State, the government would complete its term, thereby proving the DMK leader’s claim untrue, she said.
“Even during the April Lok Sabha elections Stalin had claimed that there would be change of government both in Delhi and Tamil Nadu. But nothing like that happened. The BJP under Modi returned to power with renewed vigour, proving Stalin wrong. I think Stalin will keep on harping on change of government in Tamil Nadu but that will never materiliase," she said on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters here she said the rains being experienced in Chennai and several parts of Tamil Nadu are answer to people’s prayers and yagams. People believe that the prayers and yagams had brought the rains. “We have faith in god and so performed the yagams. But Stalin says the AIADMK Ministers had conducted the yagam in temples to safeguard their position. Did not his family members visit temples and offer prayers?” she asked.
