Andhra Pradesh turns away 24 native employees
Hyderabad: The TS government has refused to give postings to 24 AP-native section officers in Secretariat after they were relieved by AP government.
Based on their options due their nativity, the Kamalnathan Committee had allotted them to AP. Following this, the TS government duly relieved them of duties in January 30.
The AP government is now refusing to give postings and has asked the TS government to take back these employees. It also wants the TS government to pay them salaries for the four-month waiting period from January 30.
The TS government has refused to give them postings. It has already promoted assistant section officers and filled the 24 vacancies.
Besides, the TS government has also given postings to 42 section officers and 16 assistant section officers relieved by the AP government nine months ago. There was a delay of four months in giving the postings, and it paid them the salary arrears after they joined duty.
The latest decision of AP government to not give postings to 24 employees relieved by the TS government has triggered sharp protests from TS employees associations.
“This shows the AP government wants to delay the bifurcation of employees further by complicating issues. When the TS government gave postings to all employees relieved by AP, the AP government should reciprocate,” said TNGOs Association president K. Ravinder Reddy.
