Ailment doesn't deter Dimple Kaur from serving needy
HYDERABAD: Touching are some stories of compassion. Even more poignant are some others. There are several healthy, rich, mighty and even poor turning to be saviours of the needy, but here is a story of a person who herself is suffering from a neurologic disability but going around to help patients who need help.
Despite being a Multiple Sclerosis Patient (MSP), Dimple Kaur has taken it upon herself to help fellow humans in this pandemic time. In the last one month that she has been active, over 80 people have been benefitted by her kind actions. They have received oxygen concentrators, cylinders and more during their battle against Covid-19.
Despite being afflicted by an auto-immune disorder, the urge to assist fellow humans in this crisis situation is helping her go strong. It all started when another fellow MSP required oxygen for her husband.
“Over a month ago, an MSP called me saying that there was a requirement of oxygen, which I procured and provided. As days went by, the number of such calls only increased. This time, it was not just from the city but the expanse of the country. So, when I saw the urgency for people to procure oxygen and other paraphernalia, I took it upon myself to help those in need,” she said.
To expand her services even further, she approached the local Gurudwara for assistance.
“Through the gurudwara, we have support coming in. To raise money for the concentrators and other equipment, we have been getting monetary assistance in the form of donations,” she added.
