ESL Narasimhan invites Jagan Mohan Reddyto form government in Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: The Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state E.S.L. Narasimhan on Saturday invited YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to form the government in his state.
Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, who reached Hyderabad by air from Vijayawada after his unanimous election as the YSR Congress Legislature Party leader, met the Governor at Raj Bhavan around 4.30 pm along with his wife Bharati and senior leaders of the party. Mr Narasimhan and his wife congratulated Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy for his victory in the election. The also presented him a bouquet of flowers.
Earlier in the day, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana and other YSR Congress MLAs met the Governor and informed him about the election of Jagan Mohan Reddy as the leader of the YSR Congress Legislature Party.
Later the Governor’s secretariat released a press note, stating that the swearing-in ceremony would be held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation stadium, Vijayawada on May 30 at 12.23 pm.
The Governor said “While congratulating Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy on his election as the Leader of YSR Congress Legislature Party, I have invited him to form the government.”
