Andhra Pradesh CMO gets into action, appoints additional secretary

The rest of the appointments will be made after YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy takes oath as Chief Minister.

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday made its first appointment in the Chief Minister’s office with the posting of senior IAS officer K. Dhananjaya Reddy.

The rest of the appointments will be made after YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy takes oath as Chief Minister. Retired chief secretary Ajeya Kallam will be appointed principal secretary and will head the CMO.

Mr Dhananjaya Reddy is working as managing director with the AP Tourism Development Corporation and is a friend of the YSR family.

When Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy was Chief Minister, Mr Dhananjaya Reddy worked as director of the Indira Gandhi Centre for Advanced Research in Live Stock at Pulivendula.

The AP government posted the official to be with the Chief Minister-designate to look after government affairs till he takes oath on May 30. Accordingly on Saturday Mr Dhananjaya Reddy was appointed additional secretary to the CM.
