CBSE class 12 results today

Many students also wrote the exams from outside the country.

CHENNAI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare the results of Class 12 board examinations on Saturday. “The results will be announced at 12 noon on Saturday,” an official confirmed to this paper.

Over 11.86 lakh students from across the country registered for class 12 exams were held from March 5 to April 25 in 4,138 centres within the country. Many students also wrote the exams from outside the country.

Over 50,000 students from Chennai region have appeared for the class 12 exams. This year, students will also be able to check their results on Google.
“For the first time, CBSE has partnered with Google to host the board's class 12 results on the search engine,” the official said. Students will be able to check their results on Google by searching for CBSE Class 12 results.

The board has announced that the results can also be accessed through Microsoft search engine www.bing.com and SMS Organizer App on mobile.
Students also can check the results on following websites of the board: www.cbseresults.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in and www.results.nic.in. Earlier, union education secretary Anil Swarup broke the news with his tweet. “CBSE Class 12 results for Academic Session 2017-18 to be declared on May 26,” he tweeted.

Originally, the class 12 exams scheduled between March 3 and April 13. But it was extended to April 25 after the board came to know that the paper was leaked in three states including Haryana and Delhi. However, the board has not made any announcement on class 10 results. It is expected to be released soon.

Post-result counselling for students
After confirming the release of class 12 results on Saturday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the post-results counselling will be available to students on the same day. The students can dial toll-free number 1800 11 8004 from any part of the country for general queries related to results or for telephone counselling for psychological problems from May 26 to June 9 on all days.

The telephone counselling service will be available from 8 am to 10 pm. During the second phase, 69 expert volunteers including principals, trained counsellors, special educators, psychologists will be available for tele-counselling. Out of 69 experts, 20 of them are from outside India. The techniques to cope with result related anxiety are available at the CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in
