CBSE class 12 results to be declared today
Bengaluru: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the results for Class 12 examinations on Saturday. Confirming the same, education secretary Anil Swarup tweeted on Friday evening, “CBSE Class 12 results for academic session 2017-18 to be declared on May 26.”
As many as 11,86,306 students had registered for the exams this year, held at 4,138 centres in the country and 71 centres abroad.
Advising students to treat the result with equanimity, Swarup further noted, “These exams are not the end of the world. Pat yourself on the back if you have done well. Any perceived failure should make you even more determined to succeed in future.”
M. Srinivasan, President of the Managements of Independent CBSE Schools Association (MICSA) told Deccan Chronicle, said most schools in the state would not be functioning on Saturday.
“Parents and students are equipped and well versed with various technological aids to check the results live as it is announced. The results are expected to be announced by 12 noon. This time results are announced directly on Google and on Microsoft as well, making the process easier,” he said.
This year, the board had re-conducted the examination for Economics following a question paper leak.
Results on Microsoft app
In order to make the entire process of obtaining results easier for students, the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) has announced an extended tie-up with Microsoft. Using Microsoft SMS Organiser application, one would now be able to get detailed results, staying offline.
The board has been partnering with the tech giant since 2016, declaring their results on Bing, their search engine.
The results of Class 10 and 12 can be checked offline by following the steps mentioned below: Download the SMS Organizer app from Google Play Store. Tap on the notification pop-up mentioning ‘CBSE exam results’ after opening the app. Enter details (roll number, date of birth, school code) to get the marks displayed. The scorecard will be sent to the users via SMS.
