Tamil Nadu: Vaiko not to comment on Rajinikanth
CHENNAI: MDMK general secretary Vaiko, who was released from Puzhal prison on Thursday declined to comment on the remarks of popular actor Rajinikanth on entering politics and said anyone could enter politics in a democracy and he need not comment on it.
Vaiko told reporters that he came out on bail following the insistence of party functionaries and added that he used the time in prison for self-analysis. The case on sections of NSA was slapped on him for political vendetta, he said and asserted that he would be ready to get any punishment in case.
While welcoming the reforms in the school education department, he condemned the police attacks on those who protested against TASMAC shops. He also demanded that the government should introduce prohibition since the people are protesting against liquor shops.
