Rahul Gandhi to visit West Godavari on June 4
Kakinada: All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice-president Rahul Gandhi will visit Bhimavaram in West Godavari on June 4 to press for ‘Special Category Status’ to Andhra Pradesh. Leaders of nearly 14 parties will participate in his tour along with Rahul Gandhi.Mr Rahul will also render support to the people who are opposing the aqua knowledge park at Tulluru.Earlier, during his visit to Tulluru, PCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy promised that the issue would be raised his party in Parliament.
When the Congress led UPA government bifurcated AP, the Congress and its alliance parties gave a promise in the parliament to give special status for five years. The parties including Rahul Gandhi now are demanding for according SCS to AP as the cabinet has approved for the cause, said the West Godavari DCC president Md.Rafiulla Baig. He said people of Tulluru will submit a representation to Rahul Gandhi opposing the aqua knowledge park in West Godavari district.
said that the DCC meeting would be held on May 27 and the tour programme of Mr.Rahul Gandhi and the leaders of 14 parties in the country will be decided in the meeting. He said that the people of Tulluru will submit a representation to Rahul Gandhi and other 14 parties' leaders to oppose the aqua knowledge park in West Godavari District.
