RMPI worker’s house attacked in Onchiyam

RMPI also demanded an impartial investigation by the police.

KOZHIKODE: The house of an RMPI worker in Onchiyam, Vadakara, came under attack early on Thursday, even though prohibitory orders under Section 144 was in force in the panchayat. The vandals destroyed three window panes of M.K. Sunil Kumar's house at Edakkandikunnu around 2 am.

When people at home woke up and rushed to the courtyard, the attackers ran away. RMPI alleged that CPM is behind the attack."Though we filed a complaint at Chobala police, the cops reached here after many hours. CPM had threatened on social media that RMPI workers would not be spared after the election," said RMPI Onchiyam area secretary K. Chandran.

RMPI also demanded an impartial investigation by the police.

RMPI leader K.K Rema, the widow of its slain founder leader T.P. Chandrasekharan, Vadakara block panchayat president Kottayil Radhakrishnan, Onchiyam panchayat vice-president P. Jayarajan and others visited his home.
