Opposition demands inquiry by High Court

Hyderabad: Opposition parties including the Congress, Telugu Desam and Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) on Thursday demanded that Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan launch a high-level inquiry by a sitting judge of the High Court into how the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education awarded the contract for data processing of the Intermediate examination to Globarena Technologies.

The delegation comprising Congress leaders such as N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Malli Bhatti Vikramarka and Mohammed Ali Shabbir, TD leaders such as L. Ramana and Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy and Prof. M. Kodandaram of the TJS called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan.

They wanted the Governor to instruct the TSBIE to re-evaluate and re-count the papers of every student who applies, without charging any fee, and not just those students who failed. They also demanded that ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh be paid to the families of deceased students.
