Rains to continue in interior districts of Tamil Nadu for two days
Chennai: Convective rains continue to bestow the interior districts of Tamil Nadu, while the coastal parts are experiencing harsh days, with maximum temperature hovering around 36 degrees Celsius. According to the data from the Regional Meteorological Centre, Salem records 3.2mm rainfall, Thirupathur notes 2.9mm and Dharmapuri records 2mm on Tuesday.
Reasoning the rainfall activity to the convection activity, director of RMC, S. Balachandran said, “Interior districts of Tamil Nadu which saw sultry temperatures crossing 40 degrees mark last week are now witnessing good rainfall, due to convection.”
Astro meteorologist, S. Ramachandran said that the rains would continue in the interior districts for the next two days. The coastal districts, on the other side, are experiencing an uncomfortable weather, due to the delay in the onset of sea breeze.
