Poojary's charge far from truth, says D K Shivakumar
BENGALURU: Energy minister D.K. Shivakumar on Monday countered the statement of former KPCC president B Janardhan Poojary that whoever aspires to become the Chief Minister ought to have the capacity to mobilise funds.
Mr. Shivakumar told the media “Mr Poojary’s statement is far from truth. There is no such procedure in the Congress.” Reacting to Bengaluru in-charge minister K.J. George’s statement that the government would not hesitate to file a SLP against him in the Supreme Court in Benniganahalli denotification case, the minister replied “My party leaders and Congress workers are with me. I will face the case if they file a SLP.” he assured that his department would not resort to load-shedding in Bengaluru. The authorities of his department would try to provide uninterrupted power supply in the city, he said adding the department has decided to purchase 1000 MW electricity this summer, and the tender has been floated.
