Chandrababu Naidu okays 30 per cent HRA, five-day work for staff
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced huge benefits for employees who will shift from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, as also to lando-wners who gave their land for the capital city construction.
He said the government would construct 5,000 ho-uses for employees in the new capital. The government Monday approved the employees’ demands for 30 per cent HRA and five-day work and two days’ weekend holiday every week.
The government also accepted the demand of metta landowners for 50 square yards of land as additional allotment.
Participating in the house warming function for the temporary secretariat, the CM said the government would provide all necessary requirements for the employees to work from the new capital. He would protect their interests as a family member.
The employees should take part in AP’s governance from Amaravati as shareholders. He said his main aim was to provide effective administration for the benefit of all.
Granting the request of employees that they be allowed to commute from Hyderabad to Vijayawada for some time, he said several problems including education issues were involved.
AP has been allowed to have Hyderabad as combined capital for 10 years, but his government’s aim was to construct a world-class capital that would give new strength to the Telugu people, he added.
